Champagne Cocktails – Tips for successful cocktails every time

  • Liquors and other ingredients for cocktails should be chilled in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes before use. When you add cold liquor to a champagne cocktail, it stays chilled longer.

  • The average champagne cocktail requires 4 ounces of champagne. A 750-ml bottle holds 25.4 ounces so each bottle makes roughly six cocktails.

  • Of all the ingredients used in most champagne cocktails, the champagne is added last, after everything but the garnish. This reduces the time between pouring and serving, keeping the bubbly fresh.

  • If you're garnishing with fresh berries, freeze them first. They'll be cold and this will help to keep their shape and appearance.

  • All cocktails can be transformed into punch by multiplying by increments of 10.
